Last night, the Missionaries came over to give me my first discussion so that i can be baptized. Dusty was also very into the lesson and is very excited to be able to baptize me soon. I'm so grateful for that. I'm so grateful, to have married a man who holds the preisthood and is able to baptize me. I know that me and Dusty don't go to church every Sunday. And I know we don't go to our own ward (we're suppose to be Madison 1st but his fam is in Madison 3rd so we tend to go their haha). But me and Dusty are both blessed very much and I feel so lucky to have been brought to church by my friends and now family. I never new that 9 years ago when Hannah dragged me to church every week, that i would ever actually be coming to the time when i would be becoming a member; it always seemed like an "in the future" thing. I've waited a long time to be baptized and i am so thrilled the time has come to start my discussions! I look so forward to being worthy to enter a Temple. I can not wait to be sealed to my husband. And i can not wait for my future children to grow up in the church. That is so important to me, and i am SO thankful that they will get that opportunity.

Stef, I have known you since you were "dragged" to church and ALL the activities by Hannah. I've watched you, Hannah, Jessie, and Katie become beautiful, strong, and extremely capable women. I could not be happier with your choice! I was baptized when I was close to your age...eons ago:)...and I have been blessed every single day since. And I too wanted to go to the SLTemple...it was a huge goal and dream. I was able to go to Utah for the first time right after Steve and I were married and I did the last endowment session of 1997 there. It was glorious! I am so excited for you and all the fantasic experiences you will have. Thanks for sharing your feelings and thanks for letting me share mine.
Love ya.
i didn't mean to say dragged haha. But yes, i think the salt lake temple is SO beautiful, its just a Dream i have for it to be the first temple i go to. But Dusty says it doesn't matter which one. But i dunno haha. I didn't know U were a convert! When people say endowment sessions.. i still don't know what that means..Guess i'll find out! :)
My hubby is a convert also. I sent the missionaries to him after we met. I'm sure he didn't realize he was going to get all "this" when he met me, but I know he wouldn't have it any other way. We waited the year to be married in the Mesa, AZ temple and have been so blessed by having the gosple in our lives. It is such a honor to have all that the Lord offers us. I thank him everyday for the opportunity to have my husband and my kids with me forever.
We should chat someday soon...
what's your schedule?
that'd be nice:) I work mon-fri 8-5!
I am so Excited! I remember when I was the beehive advisor and got to spend tons of time with you, Katie, and Hannah and then Jessica when she moved in! Y'all have grown into wonderful ladies! I am really happy for you! It is wonderful that you will always have this great memory with your hubby that will strengthen your marriage and you will be a great example to you children and their children. My mom was the one that brought us all to the church and I am extremely grateful she did aaand she drug 4 of us to church when she was a single parent! Her example was something I always remembered and helped make my decision to coming back to church :)
I joined the church when I was 17 after a long couple of years investigating and trying to figure out if I thought it was right for me. I can't imagine my life any other way. Any time you want to talk, I'd love to. :)
