Yesterday i'd posted on how my hubby wasn't feeling that great. Well, Dusty had a doctors appointment yesterday morning at 9:15 because he's been very sick (nausea) for the past 4 days or so. He hasn't been able to keep Any food down therefore was very very dehydrated, Poor guy. So the doctor ran No tests or anything and just told him to go to this Out Patient place near the Hospital. So Dusty called his mom to take us. Dusty was feeling worse and said he started to black out some. So we decided the Emergency Room would probably be best. When we entered the ER waiting room, i immediately HATED being in there with all the sicky people but i thought maybe we wouldn't have wait long..... WRONG! We waited in that sickly germ infested room for SIX ... yes SIX hours. It was awful. People who HARDLY seemed like they had an emergency were getting let back and ugh that was frustrating. So we FINALLY got called back at about 7 and we were taken to a huge scary room where they took some blood from Dusty and checked him out. Then there was a vomit threat so i bolted like the supportive, kind, nurturing wife i am (not.... sad). So then a trauma patient came in and Dusty had to be VERY quickly ripped outta that room to a smaller room down the hall. At this point i decided to suck it up and deal with the vomit threat so i came back to the room. We stayed in there a couple hours while Dusty got a much needed IV and some Phenegren (spell?). I think the IV helped TONS because Dustys mood changed alot. He went from barely speaking a word to actually talking to us and enjoying a football game on the tv. Its funny because that was one of the first sentences he said.. "Can u text dad and ask him to record the Cowboys game??!!" He's crazy haha. So the doctor came back and said that nothing was wrong with his blood work and gave him a prescription and sent us home at about 11:30pm. What a LONG day. Dusty was starving when we got home so he made some toast and scarfed it down... i TOLD him to only eat a tiny bit but NoooooOOOooo, he ate Two whole pieces. I felt him get up in the middle of the night so I hate to say it but I TOLD U SO... hehe :) OK that was mean and insensitive :). I sure hope Dusty gets to feelin better Really soon. This sickiness has been just awful for Dusty. Lets hope we NEVER have to set foot in another ER ever again!!!!

YUCK!! I am with you in not likin' the sick germs....double yuck!! Next time you have to go the the ER, call an ambulance. You'll get right in!!
I took Bria to the ER because of food poisoning (bad bad stuff) and there was a burned baby that didn't get back for over an hour (but still before Bria thank goodness)! Crazy!
Bless your heart...well bless Dusty's heart I guess :). Oh my goodness, trips to the ER are never fun and are always LONG! I hope you guys get some rest!
Thanks for the comment! It meant a lot! I check your blog too! Sorry to hear about your hubby! I never understood why the wait at the ER is SO long...even when there's nobody there?!?! Hope he feels better soon!
Thanks for being so sweet with your comment on my cousin's blog. You're the best. :)
And someone just told me that if you ever need to get someone back quickly in the ER, tell the nurse you think they might have a nut allergy. Supposedly they freak over that. Granted it might be a total lie...so maybe the ambulance is the way to go. :)
Hope he's better soon and that you stay healthy.
I'm sorry that Dusty has been so sick. I hope he feels better soon. I'm sorry you had to go to the ER... I hate having to go there and wait and wait and wait!
Yuck! I HATE THROW UP! One time X got sick and all I could say to him was "PLEASE CLOSE THE DOOR WHILE YOU PUKE!!" I am so sweet...I just seriously CANNOT handle it. Another time we were in the car and I made him open the door and puke while I covered my ears and sang loud and plugged my nose and closed my eyes...I just can't handle it!
Hopefully Dusty gets better soon...no fun!
thanks for the sympathy everyone :) Lacey lol i am the SAME way. If i even feel Dusty get up in the night i shoot up and say WHAT ARE U DOING! in fear he's throwing up. Or if I know he's sick i'll wear EAR PLUGS to bed so i won't hear it. In the ER some lady beside us was holding a puke bucket and i juts wanted to SCREAM and RUN outta there adn get away frmo her lol....its a curse i tell ya haha I'm glad i'm not alone!
Aww, poor sick husbands! Jarom has had that puke virus since Sunday. It is no fun!
