You know what I really love? When I.. think of something/smell something/see something.. that reminds me of my childhood. You know that really crisp smell in Autumn that smells like burning leaves? Oh my stars do I love that smell. Everytime I smell it, I excalim to Dusty "Mmm, It smells li-" Then he finishes my sentence "like New York??" And i say "yes. it does". When I was just a little kid, I have the fondest memories of Autumn in New York. We had a HUGE tree in our front yard that produced the best orange, red, and yellow leaves to rake up into huge piles. Me and my sister would spend hours outside jumping in the piles and re-raking, and re-jumping in them. When we were done, Mom would always bag them into those orange Pumpkin garbage bags to display by our stairway. My mom would always buy us Pumpkins in the fall, not to carve, but to paint. We'd paint faces on them..and my mom's were always the best looking. We'd put them on our front steps to admire the rest of the season. I remember a time we went to some sort of farm where there was a pair of stuffed farmers legs sticking out of the ground. Everything about Autumn is pleasant. Even the Fall COLORS... oranges and reds and yellows.. is there anything more warm and inviting? It isn't too HOT like summer. It isn't too COLD like winter, there aren't BEES everywhere like Spring. It's just... perfect.
You know what else makes me feel nostalgic? Panty Hose. I always wore panty hose when i was little. You know that feeling, when u've been wearing panty hose and heels all day, then you get home, kick off your heels and walk around in house shoes with ur panty hose still on? Oh! If that isn't Blissful Comfort then I don't know what is!!
