The shower was really wonderful. We had it at my mother in laws new house, which was decorated so cute for the festivities. We had some of my favorite foods to eat, including a chicken salad that Mandi always makes. I've been craving it for MONTHS now and couldn't wait to dig in at the shower! :)
Baby boy got SO many WONDERFUL gifts!! I've been having so much fun putting everything together in his nursery :) I just laid everything all out and stared at it for a while, then washed the clothing and have them put away in the dresser now. I can't WAIT to use everything :) Thanks everyone who came or stopped by! I had alot of fun!!
In other news, at 34 weeks, sleeping is getting to be very difficult! Who knew? I'm QUITE the sleeper. Me and Dusty both are. We've both said many times at night before drifting off to sleep that our favorite time of day is RIGHT before you fall asleep. Sleeping is fun man. Lately... I don't get any sleep. I'm not sure what it is! But i lie awake All. Night. Long. With the occasional trip to the bathroom to pee where i feel as if my bladder were about to explode, and about a tablespoon of pee is all i come up with. Frustrating! And the weird part is I just don't feel tired at night. I'll wake up about every hour on the hour and stare at the clock thinking 'WHY AM I NOT SLEEPY!?" Anyone have any suggestions?? Also, I'm pretty sure i'm averaging out to look more like i'm 40 weeks right now instead of 34 haha. Its ok though. I'm going to tell my doctor i don't want to be aware of my weight gain anymore because the stress is a bit much anymore. I'd rather worry about more important things. One things for sure, i am so excited and READY to have this baby!!!!
Also, people have asked me a few times if i've had any CRAZY cravings. And i havn't really had any CRAZY cravings. I've definitely had cravings, but nothing i'd consider crazy. Until now. I honestly can NOT get enough DARK soda. Coke, Dr Pepper, Diet Coke, You name it.. I WANT IT...BAAAAAAAD

No sleep at night just may be nature's way of getting you used to being up all night. ;) Just take opportunities to rest throughout the day.
Thanks for the shower invite... it was fun, and you look beautiful!
I had severe insomnia with Griffen. I love to sleep too and it killed me that I would just sit awake most of the night. Especially since the baby is coming soon and you NEED your rest. :) I am with Kim, take time during the day to relax and try and nap as much as possible.
I've always thought the lack of speelp prior to baby coming was a very cruel joke, but it does get you used to the many sleepless nights still to come. I love my sleep, too, it just messed with my mind to NOT be able to sleep! It all gets better, though, even if it is a year after the fact! ;)
Ok. Can I just say that you are the CUTEST pregnant lady ever?!?!?! SERIOUSLY! :) I Love it and can't wait till I am pregnant! I am so excited for you!
oh. ps. at least the not being tired thing will help you get ready for when your baby wakes up every hour to eat! seriously! haha
Your shower was perfect and the chicken salad was so yummy. And as predicted, I'm sure most of your picture presents have me EATING in them. Good grief. You're looking great! Oh, and the lack of sleep in late pregnancy is completely normal. I haven't slept in....awhile. I think it's God's way of easing us into life with a newborn.
I had insomnia around then too. It's gotten a little better recently. Hormones, man. Wacky.
Get on the scale backwards and tell them not to give you the numbers.
