As i arrived at my parents house for a lovely family dinner last evening... i was greeted by not my regular parents.. but my new, COOL ,rock star parents. They really went crazy! Check em out ....
Heres my mom... do u see what i'm talking about? :)
And here is my dads back! Ah! I can't believe it either!
Guess i have the coolest 'rents on the block! :)

Back to Work.

So my husband went back to work today after being pretty darn sick the past couple of weeks. It was so nice having him home everyday, I'll miss him! Not too much has been going on with us lately.. Dusty is 99.9% cured from his mystery illness haha, He also went and traded in the ol truck for a new Jeep on saturday. I'll post pictures of it when I can get a pic! Dusty is always trading in his car for a newer one, but i just know he'll keep this one for a while... he is definetly a jeep wrangler kinda guy! Work has been pretty much the same! I'm loving the new fall-ish weather. I love how crisp it is in the mornings... if only it would stay that cool all day! I wake up and put on a long sleeved shirt and by lunch time i'm ready to keel over and die from the heat! Make up your mind, Fall! Again, nothing really exciting to blog about...just thought i'd update :)

A trip to the ER.

Yesterday i'd posted on how my hubby wasn't feeling that great. Well, Dusty had a doctors appointment yesterday morning at 9:15 because he's been very sick (nausea) for the past 4 days or so. He hasn't been able to keep Any food down therefore was very very dehydrated, Poor guy. So the doctor ran No tests or anything and just told him to go to this Out Patient place near the Hospital. So Dusty called his mom to take us. Dusty was feeling worse and said he started to black out some. So we decided the Emergency Room would probably be best. When we entered the ER waiting room, i immediately HATED being in there with all the sicky people but i thought maybe we wouldn't have wait long..... WRONG! We waited in that sickly germ infested room for SIX ... yes SIX hours. It was awful. People who HARDLY seemed like they had an emergency were getting let back and ugh that was frustrating. So we FINALLY got called back at about 7 and we were taken to a huge scary room where they took some blood from Dusty and checked him out. Then there was a vomit threat so i bolted like the supportive, kind, nurturing wife i am (not.... sad). So then a trauma patient came in and Dusty had to be VERY quickly ripped outta that room to a smaller room down the hall. At this point i decided to suck it up and deal with the vomit threat so i came back to the room. We stayed in there a couple hours while Dusty got a much needed IV and some Phenegren (spell?). I think the IV helped TONS because Dustys mood changed alot. He went from barely speaking a word to actually talking to us and enjoying a football game on the tv. Its funny because that was one of the first sentences he said.. "Can u text dad and ask him to record the Cowboys game??!!" He's crazy haha. So the doctor came back and said that nothing was wrong with his blood work and gave him a prescription and sent us home at about 11:30pm. What a LONG day. Dusty was starving when we got home so he made some toast and scarfed it down... i TOLD him to only eat a tiny bit but NoooooOOOooo, he ate Two whole pieces. I felt him get up in the middle of the night so I hate to say it but I TOLD U SO... hehe :) OK that was mean and insensitive :). I sure hope Dusty gets to feelin better Really soon. This sickiness has been just awful for Dusty. Lets hope we NEVER have to set foot in another ER ever again!!!!

Poor Hubs

Not much is new around here. I have like no new pictures or anything to share, sorry. Something exciting is that me and Dusty got a new microwave! haha. The old one we had didn't have a rotating little plate in it so everything was cooked very uneven. And one night when I was making dinner it like EXPLODED. So a new one was definitely needed. Its exciting to have the food cooked all evenly and not frozen on one end and burnt on the other=). Also I've been getting in the swing of things (i think!) in YW. I really love this calling and am grateful for it!! I just hope the girls can learn something from the lessons and have a good time! Last Tuesday me and my sil Jess went to the Church's Yoga night, and let me tell ya.. it was really fun! There weren't many ladies there, so anybody interested should totally come! My abs were hurtin the next couple of days! haha. Not much else is new around here, other than my poor Hubs being sick :\. I feel so bad for him because he is just so pitiful and SICKLY and i know theres nothing i can really do to make him feel better :\... I hope he feels better ASAP!!!

Some more Texas..

One of the first places we ate at was a place called Paradise Bakery. It was so cute and delicious!! I swear they have the BEST orange juice you'll ever drink in your life. No lie! Here is Dusty enjoying some....

Heres the Bakery.. isn't it just cute?!

Heres what I got for breakfast. I was DETERMINED to get something"tex-mex" to eat in dallas. I'm not even sure if i know what "tex-mex" is. But when I ordered this i thought, Hey that looks Tex-Mes-ish! It was a breakfast burrito with black beans and onion and peppers, cheese, tomatoes, and some crazy crunchy white veggie that i have no clue what it was. It was spicy and delicious though!

Another thing we did in dallas was take a tour of the Texas Stadium! It was neat to see it before it will be torn down! It was really fun and we got to play a little football on the field and take some pictures and stand by the lockers...

Go Romo!
this picture CRACKS me up... hehehe
Theres TONY ROMO at the game on Thursday evening!! He like NEVER turned around. Psh..... it was still pretty fun though :)

DALLAS!!!!

Ah, so we're home from Dallas! The trip was AMAZING. I miss it so much now that I'm home. I'll start from the beginning.....

Dusty woke me up at about.. 3:40 am on Saturday and we got everything together and set out on the road to Texas. We were both really excited. So the drive was pretty long, but neither of us complained really. We arrived in Dallas at about 2:30 that afternoon and checked into our hotel. Let me tell ya, the streets in Dallas are the most CONFUSING streets i've ever been on!! Tons of random One Way roads and dead ends... and our navigator was messing us up SO bad! Needless to say, we took taxi's mostly everywhere. There isn't too much touristy things to do in Dallas. Mostly, we just stayed in our hotel room and watched Law and Order haha. Or downstairs of the hotel there was a mini mall-ish place with fast food places and a bakery and pizza place. We ate there way too many times haha. One of the days we went to the Galleria mall which was about 15 minutes from the hotel. It was a HUGE 3 story awesome mall. Crazy expensive, but still pretty neat! In the food court at Five Guys burgers, we saw the Dallas Cowboys football player Felix Jones haha. (Or so Dusty says ;) haha) We got a couple good buys there.. it was fun.

Monday night was our AMERICAN IDOL concert!!! It was crazy. We got to American Airlines at about 5:15 and waited outside with a group of people. There were a couple people out there demo-ing the new Guitar Hero game and let Dusty play it, and let us talk on his Mega-Phone haha. It was kinda cool.....and kinda embarassing!! I have lots of pictures AND videos of the concert... If u'd like to see a video let me know and I'll upload some :) I have some of Archuletta, Seyeshia, Castro, and of course, COOK!

Jason Castro! Here he's singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow!

David Archuletta!

My personal fave, David Cook!!! :)

The next big event that we did was go to my Tokio Hotel concert. Now, i love Tokio Hotel. If you don't know who they are.. you SHOULD because they ROCK! They are a band consisting of 4 boys from Germany. They started out when they were like 13 and are 18 now and are HUUUUGE in Europe. They are jts now starting to come to America and they are on MTV and are nominated for the MTV music video awards already! Me and my friend at work have watched youtube videos of them constantly at work for about a year now and are in love with Tokio Hotel haha. So when I found out they were coming to do a tour in America i was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hoping that we could go. And obviously.. we DID go! And let me tell you... it was absolutely the most exciting show i have and ever will see of my LIFE! AMAZING! These pictures do NOT do the show justice but i was SOOOO close! Dusty stayed in the back of the mad crazy mob by the stage haha. But i still got some AWESOME videos and pics!!! Here are a couple!

The Videos are so blurry because people were SHOVING so hardcore to get closer to stage i was like a SARDINE no lie. It was so packed i remember i couldn't even reach my hand down by my side to reach into my own purse!!

Outside after the concert. My hair is a mess because people were seriously PULLING my HAIR trying to get closer to the stage! I wasn't havin it though ;)

Heres a really good pic i got of the lead singer Bill (my fave) :-D

I'll post more later!....
