Good Better Best

GOOD:

I went to Target yesterday and found the CUTEST t-shirts for Deacon. That always makes me super happy.

BETTER:

Last night me and the girls had a Ladies Night to celebrate Jessica's birthday. Last year Hannah took us all to Melting Pot to share fancy (virgin) drinks and dessert. This year she went all out and we got the full meal. It was SO much fun. Girls nights are just the best things. Love em!

BEST:

Dusty is doing SO much better. It's amazing. He has been home from work for a couple of months, and this morning he went back to work. It was time for him to go back so I can clean the house in peace haha... But i miss him alot already! And it isn't even 8:00 o'clock yet!! But its fantastic news. I couldn't be happier!

Deacon had socks like these shoes, and they are starting to get way too small, plus too hot for socks. I'd love to get the real SHOE version of them for him. They are just so cute

The Cabinets

I've been wanting to paint our kitchen cabinets for a while now. I just assumed it would take alot of time so I put it off. Since Dusty was going to be gone at the Mayo Clinic for 2 weeks I figured i'd surprise him and get it done. My dad had painted his a while back a nice creamy white with black handles and i loved it. But with my white appliances, and not very dark countertops i thought that might look silly. I really love black cabinets but wasn't sure how it would look in my kitchen, but since I have a window above my sink and a really big windows on the other side of the kitchen, i figured Lets Go For IT!! This is the only 'before' shot i took unfortunately....

3 years

Dusty is home!! And today happens to be our 3 year anniversary! We've been through alot in the past 3 years but I wouldn't trade em for anything. 3 years after our wedding i still look down admiringly at my sparkly wedding rings. I still have our wedding invitation on our fridge. I still have my wedding bouquet on a shelf above our tub. I still have every single card given to me at my showers/parties/and actual wedding. (anyone else thinking 'HOARDERS:buried alive'?) But anyway, every single day I love Dusty a little bit more and after 3 years thats a Whole lotta love thats built up. I'm so glad I found my true eternal soulmate, as cheesy as that sounds, its true!

Happy

I took Deacon to the pediatrician's office today. He continues to be a big boy, 97th percentile in height and 92nd in weight. Poor little man had to get shots, which breaks my heart, BUT i didn't cry this time! Deacons reaction to shots is UBER sad, but he always falls asleep as soon as the nurse hands him back to me and he is really sleepy the whole day. Which was ok with me today since I needed to get the house in tip-top shape for Dusty's arrival home this evening. I missed him so much.

this is my BEFORE shot of my kitchen cabinets. I forgot to take one with the actual doors on :\. I'll post the after shots on Tuesday after Dusty gets home, I wanted to surprise him :) I think it looks really nice!

UM. Yes. REE as in PIONEER WOMAN REE. I had emailed her in 2007 saying that i loved her blog and she wrote me back. Tonight I feel really cool for that.. haha
