Today i feel like
Painting my nails my favorite red polish
Going on a date
Washing my hair and not straightening it
Putting Lavender flowers in my white pitcher in the kitchen.
Smothering my baby's lips with kisses everytime "dada" or "mama" comes out of them
Eating 'Deacons' Easter candy

Makes Me Soooooo Happy.

eatin strawberries
Although i planted 2 tiny little hydrangea plants, Dusty and Deacon went and bought me a nice big one with beautiful pink and purple blooms to plant as well.
I smeared the previously mentioned Aveeno chapstick on my lips all day today (They sell them at Target! Who knew!?)
Deacon finally says "mama".
In the middle of cooking dinner, I asked Dusty to please run to the store because i was making tacos and didn't have taco seasoning. I also asked him to get an avocado and maybe a tomato. He not only went quickly and got everything i asked but got FOUR avocados. SCORE!!! (i heart avocados)
I sweeped my porch today and sprayed bug spray around my house and it made me feel like such a 'grown-up'. Love that.
Tomorrow, Rupauls Drag Race is on, and i just love that show. I dreamt last night that I met the top 3 queens at a crafts store and asked for their autographs on my white tube sock. Sweet.

I sewed!

I've been looking for a table runner for my dining room for a while now but just couldn't ever find one that i LOVED. I've seen fabrics like the one below online alot and just Love it. I want a table runner in that pattern so bad but couldn't find any that weren't uber expensive!!
So i went to our new JoAnn's. They had a really pretty cream and green pattern like the one above but it was pricey and "special order". So i looked and found this cute fabric below...
I bought it and had my mother in law help me sew the edges and Voila! it looks so cute!

Things I Lurve

My sister is having a baby GIRL. I was literally excited to TEARS ha!

This is my favorite splurge fabric softener. It simply smells like heaven!

I've had hydrangea envy of my SIL Jessica for some time. SO last summer i planted two beautiful bushes in my backyard. THEY DIED. I'm trying once again this year, i bought the pretty Blushing Bride ones. **fingers crossed(**

Have you tried 'Pioneer Womans favorite sandwich'? Its delicious! I substitute sliced pickles for the green chiles though.

love. these. So does Deacon.

Ok literally? This is THE BEST chapstick on EARTH. And i've tried them all( i have to write it all, jessi lol). THIS ONE! If you see it.. BUY IT. its so hard to find anymore.
Carpet sprinkle makes me happy. Really happy.

Party

We had originally planned on having Deacon's birthday on the 26th of March but everyone had the FLU, so we had it yesterday April 2nd. We had the family over for some lunch. It was fun!

Deacon was dressed in his Party Boy outfit :)

is it weird that Deacon loves chewing my hair? icky.

Dusty INSISTED on having a Cowboys theme cake for Deacon, so my mom made this one..cute huh?

This is where the party got dramatic. BAD mommy set down his cake with the candle lit and didn't think twice about it.....
He was staring at the flame then grabbed the flame. Papa grabbed Deacons hand away in a hurry and i don't know if it burned his finger or it just scared him or a mixture, but BOY did he cry. He screamed for a good 10 minutes and wanted NOTHING to do with the cake or us singing 'Happy Birthday'.
Daddy had to walk outside with him to try and calm him down a bit

After everyone left we finally got Deacon to eat his cake..

The party was really fun :) I'm kind of sad its all over and i've got nothing to plan anymore! Theres a post below of our trip to the zoo also!

Deacons Birthday

I've got tons of pictures to document from Deacon's Birthday. Dusty took off on his birthday and we got up early and took Deacon to the Birmingham zoo. It was really fun. Deacon loved looking at the monkeys and sea lions.

Deacon opened up his presents from mommy and daddy before we left....

We got him, several items of clothing, flip flops, swimming trunks, a pool float, some Tiny Toms, Stride Rite sneakers, and a Book!
Here's us at the zoo....

We left the zoo and went to The Summit and shopped a little and had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory YUM! The red velvet cheesecake is always my favorite, delicious!! Deacon was SO good all day in the car and all over town. He was so silly on the ride home too before he fell asleep...
