Christmasy

This year I was asked to play my ol' trumpet in the stake christmas festival. I was really super nervous, but it turned out well. Nobody really cares about the orchestra anyway, its all about the choir. And it should be. We practiced alot. I mean, maybe 2 or 3 hours every saturday for several weeks. And every single time the men sang Silent Night, it was like hearing it for the first time. Heavenly. I sat right next to the men singers and my goodness the spirit their voices brought was incredible. Beautiful! Something I dare say i'll never forget. I love how music this time of year can move you so. One of my very favorite christmas songs is Do You Hear What I Hear. The last verse of the song chokes me up Every single time. "A Child, a Child sleeping in the night, He will bring us goodness and light. He will bring us goodness and light." December is my favorite month in sacrament because we sing christmas songs. Today i could hear myself singing too loudly to Oh Come All Ye Faithful, but darn it I just couldn't help it! I love this time of year. :)

Listy

I'm tired of looking at my sad gloomy blog post. So I SHALL UPDATE, on a happy note this time.

GOOD:
My mother in law helped me (ok she didn't HELP me, she sewed the entire thing herself) make some curtains for my dining area and MAN do i love them. We recently got a CRAZY deal on some barstools from wally world that look IDENTICAL to some from Pottery Barn for a fraction of the cost. I'm loving them. My christmas tree has lots of lovely wrapped presents under them and OH is it festive. My husband is texting me funny things and my eyes keep tearing up from giggling so hard. I finally hung up a picture wall in my bedroom. FINALLY. i've been looking at a bare wall for months now, sigh. Much more homey now. Tonight is dinner at my parents. Am i the only person who almost to a silly level looks forward to family dinners at my parents or parents-in-law!? THAT is blissful excitement right there! I set my dvr to record old episodes of Prison Break. Oh Michael Scofield, I missed you!! Everytime Deacon sees anything Disney Cars brand he whispers "CAAAAAAARSSSSSSSS!!!" its adorable. Thus everyone in the family buys him everything CAAARS.. who wouldn't!? :)
