Recently and 7 months

Can you believe that Deacon is now 7 months old? (well, he will be tomorrow the 29th) MAN does time fly! I still feel like a brand new mom to a newborn baby! I guess he isn't a newborn anymore. He sits up very well on his own, and can balance for a little bit on his hands and knees (if i place him that way), but doesn't show too much interest in crawling. Still no rolling haha but i'm over it. He still sleeps about 10-11 hours at night. . Bless that little sleepy baby :)

Deacon loves to be thrown in the air. He just giggles and smiles. Its adorable..

This is our pathetic pumpkin. I had two bigger ones (a mommy and a daddy pumpkin) but i ruined it. It has already rotted and been thrown in the dumpster :(.

Did I already post this picture of Dusty and Deacon? If not, I think its so cute and funny (deac's finger). If i have.. then its still cute right?

Like honestly. He likes to grab the spoon and try to feed himself and smear his food all around ha!

Such a happy baby. He is RARELY fussy. We sure love him so so much!!

Sometimes when Deacon is fussy, I tend to get stressed pretty quick. Its as if my mind really thinks "he'll NEVER stop fussing!". But he always does. And most always, he ends a good cry with a NAP. Thats really only when he is fussy, is when he's tired. And THAT is when i am reminded how SWEET and PRECIOUS he is, despite the hour of fussing.

(Doesn't my son have superb lips? I think so too.)

I mean honestly. Couldn't possibly get any sweeter.

My Baby

Have you ever unexpectedly heard a song that makes you think "Oh this song is about me and my baby". And you immediately start to cry because you are just so overwhelmingly in love with this tiny child? And as soon as you turn to look at them, they look back at you like this...

Even though you were kind of ignoring them to look at blogs and check emails and such? And it was as if they were staring at the back of your head the whole time hoping you'd turn to smile at them? Then you heart is broken into a million shattered pieces? WAH!!

It's funny to me the little things that make my heart swell for Deacon. Yesterday he sprouted two brand new baby teeth and for some reason I kissed him extra the rest of the evening, like "I am so PROUD of you for growing TWO teeth!!!". I am so deeply, crazily in love with Deacon. Who knew, right?

Love/Hate

(in all honesty) I HATE:

• when people lose all their baby weight before 3 months postpartum, thats just not fair.
• when my FAVORITE show's season is over (Teen Mom i'll MISS YOU!!!!!)
• when I can't decide which way to take advantage of Deacon's morning nap.. Do I take a quick nap too? or do I clean? Cleaning always wins. Hmph.
• Cookies that have raisins or cranberries. EW!
• The decision i made to buy ALL of Deacon's cutest most pricey clothing in size NEWBORN so he could wear them for approximately 5 minutes, never to be worn again.
• Arthritis at age 21!
• I can not for the life of me pull off a WHITE shirt. Just a plain cotton white t-shirt, I can not do it! I try and try. Its a no-go everytime. I'm jealous of you ladies who can pull them off so easily. Dang.

I LOVE:

• when I put my nose to my baby's mouth and he Always parts his lips so I can get a sniff in. That stuff is delicious I don't care if you say "ew" to that. haha
• Pretty much anything and everything Deacon does.
• Unexpected gestures of love from my husband.
• New clothes. No matter where they are from.. that is as exciting as it gets.
• The first sip of an ice cold freshly cracked open CAN of Coca-Cola. (Dusty agrees..Gotta be the can.)
• Rupaul's Drag U..its a TV show- (Don't Judge Me!)
• The act of Getting Ready. Makeup. Hair. Lipgloss. The works. it just feels RIGHT!
• Did I already say DEACON? OH. ok then.

Darn You

I'm never going to lose the last clinging 10 pregnancy pounds when I keep craving really delicious treats like TCBY's white chocolate mousse frozen yogurt. I'd do anything for one :)

Today

Today Dusty took me and Deacon to the Madison Street Festival. I always really loved that as a kid. I remember it always been colder outside too...it was scorching today. The crowd was obnoxious too, I found myself saying out loud "I just can't imagine in this crowd just STOPPING in the middle of the street when you have a million people standing behind you i mean COME ON!!" I really hate that. We pretty much walked to Mandi's booth, then walked right out of there haha. We then went for a cruise to my favorite store on earth, Target. It just never gets old to me, even if i was just there yesterday. Then we came home, watched the Saturday afternoon session of conference because we totally missed the morning one. After some naps were had, we walked to the park. The weather was PERFECT and *BONUS* there was no one at the park!! So we swang with Deacon and had a really great time. Deacon is so cute. I could just eat him up. Honestly, how did I ever get SO lucky???? Anyway, now Dusty is at his parents watching football and I'm sitting on the couch while Deacon is asleep, watching a Katherine Heigl movie (love her).The wind keeps blowing in random spurts outside the window and there MUST be a twig or ghoulish monster claw out there or something scratching the glass because i am FREAKING creeped out. I also can't stop stalking people's blogs. You know the ever famous NieNie? I absolutely LOVE her cousin's blog. Is that weird? Because she is totally like ADVERTISED as her cousin. Am I trying to convince myself here? Ok Ok. Anyway....I'm looking SO forward to Sundays General Conference sessions. At Stake Conference Elder Bednar had said that you should watch Conference with a question in your heart. I'm glad he said that because thats always how i've watched Conference. And my question is ALWAYS answered. AND i don't think this post could be ANY more random. So i'll end with this picture i took on my phone on our way home this afternoon...
