Seriously??

So upon signing onto AOL today.. I saw this news story.....



FORT WORTH, Texas (July 30) -- At first, fire officials suspected that carbon monoxide or some other toxic fumes had sickened almost 150 people at a Texas bank call center.
It turned out that perfume was to blame.
MedStar ambulance spokeswoman Lara Kohl says 34 people were taken to hospitals, 12 by ambulance, after reporting dizziness and shortness of breath Wednesday at a Bank of America call center in Fort Worth. An additional 110 were treated at the scene.
Fort Worth fire Lt. Kent Worley says the incident started with two people complaining about dizziness after a co-worker sprayed perfume. Others reported being sick when an announcement was made that anyone with similar symptoms should exit the building.
Investigators do not know what type of perfume was sprayed.

I ordered it ONE MONTH AGO. When i try to email or call them.. NO ONE responds. how UNFAIR is that!?!?! I'm pretty upset about it...

Last night me and Dusty (or is it Dusty and I..for my grammar freak sister..) went to his parents and had yummy pizza.... well, Dusty had yummy pizza, I had already eaten French Toast (which by the way i have the BEST RECIPE EVER for) but anywho, afterwards... Dusty *SURPRISE* took us to Brusters after I'd hinted numerous times... my absolute favorite kind of ice cream is ANYTHING with LOTS of chocolate. More specifically 'Chocolate Lovers Trash' at Brusters is Heaven in a Cup I must say. But of COURSE Brusters didn't have any last night.. so what kind of ice cream did I choose??

Cotton Candy Explosion!?! Yes, my friends. When me and my sister were little we'd go to this place called Stewarts that had, let me tell you the BEST COTTON CANDY ICE CREAM you'll ever dream of. It was outta this world and no other cotton candy ice cream compares (including this one). But it so reminded me of my sister and New York. It was pleasant.

You know what show all of a sudden I am hooked to? This old cartoon that Comedy central plays early in the morning called Dr. Katz. it is Hil-Ar-I-Ous. To me anyway!

Nothing like a good Photo post

Normally i don't post long posts because frankly, I don't like to wait for the little Blogger picture loader to load my pictures. It takes forever, does it not!? I had some pictures on my camera i uploaded today and thought i'd post em since nothing else interesting is going on with me lately...

Dusty, the sneaky little devil, bought running boards for my car without me knowing (grr) so we spent some time in the garage assembling them...

Did i say "we"??....Me, not so much.

While grocery shopping at Kroger the other day, I came across (or AcrossT as dusty likes to say.... psh!) a cart of old Roses on sale. They were well on their way to being ...well, Dead. But they were still pretty to me, and to my nightstand and kitchen island. So i snapped a few photos of them and edited them in my sad little Picasa since i can't bear to spend money on Photoshop, no way Jose...

I think they look pretty, if I do say so myself!!!

Also.... who loves Mangoes? I DO!!! They were BUY ONE GET ONE FREE at Publix the other day and i almost died. I could eat a mango every day. for every meal. forever. and these mangoes were the ripest most BRIGHT orange mangoes i've ever seen.. MMMM!!!

Therapy?

You know what I think is interesting? What embarresses people.For example: DANCING.. one person can bust a move with no shame while another would rather DIE than dance in front of someone. (Ok maybe not DIE but..) You know what is something that embarresses me? Other people hearing what music I'm listening to. Sometimes I don't care because I know it is a good song. But sometimes... I get nervous if someone gets in my car and I have a mix cd in and I never know what oldie song is going to pop up that will make them say "What in the WORLD are you listening to?" My face will turn a shade of red you've likely never seen before. Its silly, I know!! I'm going to go ahead and embarress myself and give my current exercise/running playlist...maybe I'll feel FREE and it'll be therapeutic....

Once And For All

Dress Heaven.

Can I just say once more how much i hate Mondays? Because I do. Very much. But anyway that is besides the point today. Friday i was very excited. I was excited because me and my mom were taking a half day off of work to spend time together. Since it was sort of cloudy and all my bathing suits are at my mother in laws house we decided to go shopping instead of laying at the pool. So we headed to Decatur. First i scored some really cute old little frames/mirrors at a thrift store. I have to spill a shopping secret. I think I have found the best place to look for modest dresses. TJ MAXX. Alot of people hate 'The Maxx' as we like to call it....and i totally used to. But let me tell you what, they have a huge selection of modest CUTE dresses!!!! My mom has a ton of pictures of all the dresses i tried on but i don't have them from her yet, so here is our cart of goodies that I sent to Dusty on my phone when he asked "U aren't spending any money are you??" Muahaha.

Sadness

So for my sisters birthday, part of the gift i sent her, was THE CAPE COD T-SHIRT. Now if U dont' remember me talking about it, it is basically like a Family Heirloom. My mom got it when she was first married and we all LOVE this shirt. It is the softest most comfortable shirt. And it just...its just the best. So the package was reluctantly (but gladly) sent to her in North Carolina.....on June 29th. It is July 17th and has still not arrived to its destination :(. What if The Shirt is lost? What if some random person stole it and (heaven forbid) is WEARING our shirt!? Oh man that would just be so wrong. When is it going to be too late where I will have to give up hope on it still getting to her? WHY won't they just send it back to me if they can't find her place? Oh.. I am bitter inside.. SO BITTER!

Feelings.

I am a pretty EMOTIONAL person. Not just in the sense that i CRY alot either. I tend to really show what i'm feeling right on my face all the time and I can't help it! But that is besides the point. Today I am feeling so. very. blessed. I have a wonderful husband, who knows me more than I know myself. Who treats me great even though I ask him why he doesn't understand the definition of Chivalry sometimes. He is great. period. And soon we will literally seal the deal when we attend the Temple. Its soon, oh so soon.

And i can not wait.

I have a certain liking towards a certain style that men wear. Not a liking to certain men, no no, just a style i absolutely love and can't resist when my husband dresses like. What is this style? Here let me show some EXAMPLES.....

Its a Twice a Week kind of thing

This is my favorite shirt. I don't know how it came to be my favorite shirt but I wear it constantly. I didn't even realize it until my husband said to me one time "Oh gosh, that shirt AGAIN? Didn't you just wear it like YESTERDAY??". He is not one to notice things like that so i knew then... i really do wear this shirt alot. and i Love it. And let me tell you, we have the moodiest washer and drier ever. The thing will shrink the HECK out of my jeans and favorite shirts. it has ruined MANY tops including my very favorite pink Jcrew cardigan *sniff*. But this shirt? No way. It does not feel the wrath of my drier at all and always stays perfectly the right size and length!! We recently got a new warranty coordinator in the office and I stupidly(yet excitedly) thought "Oh! This new person hasn't seen me over-wear this shirt, I'll wear it TODAY and it'll be like NEW to her!". How pathetic.

PS: so i am sadly depressingly unfortunately allergic to my wedding rings. i know, sad isn't it? So i was talking with my sister and she suggested wearing some nickel free rings that you can order online that LOOK like real wedding rings but are cheapies. I am so tempted.. my finger is always red and itchy and swollen. but do i dare part with my beloved wedding rings and set them in their jewelry box forever? They are worth so much to me! What would YOU do???

That Type of Person

Here i am again, about to make a long list of things i WANT. Have I become one of those want want want people? Or have I always been? I just love to shop, and I.. to be completely honest... loooooove to buy new clothes and feel good in em! Is that wrong? Because if it is.. Im not so sure i want to be right! (Ok maybe I won't go that far haha..) I also love to spend HOURS online looking for that perfect vintage dress or those perfect feminine earrings..or that perrrfect pair of old fashioned pumps. It's an addiction I tell you. So instead of going to my husband with "I want I want I want." I think I will make it a habit to just get it out of my system here. Show here what i am CRAVING and DESIRING in the world of online fashion hunting

Ah converse. I've always liked converse. Even as a really little girl I'd wear them and call them "Wayne's World shoes". I remember I had a black pair and my friend in KINDERGARTEN had a pink pair and I traded with her for the day. I got in trouble but I've always wanted another pair! These pink ones are so calling my name...

Anyone Interested??

So my friend Cassidy and her husband picked up this sweet pathetic little tiny baby boy on the side of the road near their home. They are trying to find someone to give this puppy a good home. He'd be free of course! I saw him last night and let me tell you these pictures don't do the sweetie justice. He is TINY and just wants to be held and pet and just slept most of the time I was there. Anyone interested in rescueing this poor baby?? You know you want him :)
