Fathers Day

Since my last post lots has been going on! I visited my sister in laws house to snip some of her humungus hydrangea blooms... take a look..
Aren't they gorgeous? It inspired me to clean up my house Extra nice that day :) Dusty bought me 2 bushes of my own that i've been super excited about. I love clipping the flowers and refilling my vase!
We've been swimming at Dusty's parents some too! It's lovely...
We also blessed Deacon at home on Sunday...
So Handsome, right? Best day for a blessing, i say.
4 generations

81

Tonight we celebrated my grandmas 81st birthday. She had been on vacation up north and we surprised her as she arrived home. Pizza, yummy cake, and presents were had and we had a good time. Below is my grandma's neighbors plants. I had SERIOUS hydrangea ENVY. It took all I had not to run next door and clip me a few buds haha...
We surprised my poor grandma with magic trick candles. They were super tricky haha..

Wouldn't be a Schuler get together without a classic family photo..

Big Boy

Yesterday I took Deacon to the Dr for his 2 month checkup. He weighs 13.2 pounds and is 23 and a half inches long. His weight is in the 95th percentile and height, the 75th. Big man! He was Such a big man getting his shots, I wasn't though! Poor little man squealed and had a bright red cry face with his bottom lip just sticking out AH it broke my heart into a million pieces. He was fine as soon as the doctor handed him to me, then he slept for over 4 hours after that. He was a little sore I think the rest of the evening, but awoke this morning in a GREAT mood. He smiled and cooed at me and his Grandma Hess. Such a sweet boy. Here's the little man right after we got home from the doctor....

Couldn't you just eat him Up!?

Mysteries, Baby, & Postpartum-ness

Mysteries:
So remember about 2 years ago when I blogged about my husband having some Mystery Diagnosis? Well, it was up until now still very much, a mystery. After what seems like dozens of ER trips, Neurologist appointments, a trip to the Mayo Clinic... heres the good news, Dusty's neurologist is very confident he knows exactly what it is that Dusty has: Basilar Migraines. It's pretty rare, but at long last, THE MYSTERY IS GONE. Dusty has been through alot, i mean ALOT. More than any young man should have to endure..more than I could endure, thats for sure. But he has never let it get in his way of doing Everything he can to support his little family and be the best husband/daddy he possibly can. Here's to hoping he feels SO much better now and can kick these basilar migraines in the rearend!! I love you Dust :)

BABY:
Deacy and his big brother Gus get a little kiss action on the couch. Deacon isn't so sure about it.
Daddy likes to play with little man. That onesie he has on, I bought long before I was even Pregnant with Deacon. I saw it online and just HAD to have it. It barely fits him anymore, big boy!

Cutie Pie.

Postpartum-ness:
After 2 months of being a mommy. Theres definitely some things that I've learned. Those 63..yes...63 pounds i gained during pregnancy..are so close to being gone. Only 13 more pounds and i'll be one happy camper. Next pregnancy? I PROBABLY won't eat at Arby's every single day haha. Babies grow FAST! My 2 month old is currently napping in a 6-9 month onesie! Big baby he is! We go for his 2 month check up on Monday. I'm anxious to see what percentile he is in for weight and height, he's a biggie i think. Baby Deacy LOVES taking a bath still and if he's really fussy (rare) i'll pop him in the tub and he lays there with giant eyes and is silent until I take him out. A few times I've dipped his feet into the pool outside and he shrieks in dislike. Hmm. Must be all in the warmth. Deacon continues to be a FABULOUS sleeper and basically sleeps through the night every single night. Some nights if he goes to bed really early (7pm) he might wake up around 4am to eat but i figure that counts as "sleeping through the night". Last night i was stressing because I couldn't get him to sleep until midnight, but then he slept in til 9 this morning haha. So i KNOW i'm pretty lucky in the sleep department. I've NEVER once felt that Zombie feeling i've heard so much about! i sure Love being his mother.
