Fifteen Months

Today Deacon is 15 months old! Not that this is really any special age to celebrate or anything, but since it required a doctors visit i figure it requires a blog post, no? At 15 months, Deacon is 90% for height and dropped to 70% for weight. Deacon is running everywhere constantly and is MOST happy if you take him outside. He has two pretty scraped up looking knees from constantly tripping on the driveway but he doesn't seem to mind much. Deacon is getting picky with foods and mostly only loves any form of Mac n' Cheese, bread, grits, green beans, COOKIES, and natural Cheetos puffs. Such a good mom, aren't i? Deacon will occasionally give you a kiss on command, wave byebye, point to his nose, and dance. Sometimes we get into 'conversations' and it really seems like he is having a serious talk with me with his babbles haha. This is SUCH a fun age, and I am so in love with this sweetie. I think i say it EVERY 'update on Deacon' post but HONESTLY... HOW did i ever get SO incredibly lucky with him??!!??

Chocolate Face

Note to Self: stop giving Deacon chocolate in the car.

Man i have become that person who only posts a blog post to 'catch up'. It's hard when my laptop is dead and none of my pictures are on this computer and it just doesn't feel right without my computer! Anyway. My Update: Dusty continues to have migraines almost on a daily  basis now. We have an appointment set for Tuesday with a headache specialist and are so hoping he will have some awesome new treatment and we can move past the headaches! Supposedly BOTOX is a new treatment ..we are so willing to try anything. We'll see. Deacon is just go, go, go lately. Always wanting to go outside. We can't even SAY the word 'outside' or else he'll point to the door crying until someone takes him out. Tonight me and Dusty sat in the driveway and let Deacon run around the yard for a good hour and a half. His little cheeks were so hot and red and his hairs were sweaty and curling. He was so cute. Deacon now will dance if you give him a beat or tell him "Dance, Deacon!" if a song is playing. He knows to clap his hands if you start singing pat-a-cake. His only new word.. isn't really a word. But if you ask him where Aunt Jessi is, most of the time he will shout "SSSSS!". When did my baby turn into a toddler??!! My gosh, do I love that boy. My sister had her baby shower yesterday and it was totally cute. I'm so excited for my first NIECE to be here! All the PINK is so exciting :).

I am really loving  THIS page on Etsy tonight. I've never been known to have any sort of art in my house. Well, I have ONE piece of art, a picture i drew in high school...but thats it. These stood out to me and some SPOKE TO ME. Particularly these....

Can't you just smell the air in the pictures? The last two smell crispy and cold. the first smells like cotton candy and summertime and grass. yum.
