Super Awesome weekend in pics!

So, my weekend was PRETTY awesome. Saturday morning me and my dad set off to the Jack Daniels Barbecue festival. We go every year but this year was extra special. We were there a while walking around and sampling barbecue from around the world when i wanted to get a bbq sandwich. So we get in line and make friends with some lady who says.. "Did you guys go see Guy Fieri from Diners Drive ins and Dives yet?" Me and my dad were both like "WHAT!? NO WAY!" we love him haha. So we ate that sandwich super quick and headed over to the judges table where WE MET GUY FIERI!!......

I left my camera home and could kick myself for it. This picture was taken on my cell phone and it isn't the best pic. But still! How cool is that!?
Later on in the weekend me and some friends headed to another Tokio Hotel concert in Atlanta! It was awesome. We set out at about 11 am to head to ATL. The concert started at 7 so we wanted to have plenty of time to wait in line and get a good spot. So we finally get in line and we are so far back. We felt a little bummed like Oh no we'll have a horrible spot in line. We wait a while longer and they let us in at 6... every piles in and immediately we notice that WOW we got REALLY great spots CLOSE to the stage! We were STOKED!

Heres the twins, Levi and Logan on the way to the concert.

heres Cass, Levi, Logan, and me waiting for the show to start! See that blode haired girl to the Far left of this pic? She was UNRULY and crazily trying to push her way to the front. we were NOT having that!

Me, Cass, and Sharna waiting outside

Our cool 'Bill Kaulitz' nails haha
( i forgot to add that since i'd gotten my nails done saturday afternoon, I was scared to chip them sunday morning, so dear old Husband took over in his stylist role of shampooing And conditioning my hair for me over the tub before the concert how sweet, right?) hahah

When they first came out!

Sharna took this pic, it turned out really well

Bill!

Woo! This concert was AMAZING!
On the way home, we got pulled over by the cops, I was kinda excited cause i've Never been pulled over before haha, (Sharna was driving, not me! haha). So anyway, the Cop comes up "Do u know how FAST u were going??"... "No sir.."... U were going 72..... the speed limit is 35!! I about laaaaaughed haha. And guess what, we didn't get a ticket! it was juts an awesome weekend :)

Temple Trip

So Saturday was the Youth Temple trip! Since i'm in the YW program, i was able to go with the Youth and help out. Instead of doing the usual helping that the leaders would do, I did the baptisms with the youth, since i never have before! It was an awesome experience and i am SO grateful for the opportunity to go!

Other than Temple trips, not too much has been going on. The office is pretty slow. Barbara (my boss) brought in her itty bitty cutie pie puppy a couple of weeks ago. She was so precious!

He's Good.

SO lately the Hubs has been awesome and i just needed to record what he's been doing lately so i won't forget :). So friday night, Dusty did something for me that i never thought he would do... he Colored my hair for me! And did a fantastic job! It was really surprising and wonderful haha. Sunday Dusty stayed home from work with me because i'd thrown out my back and could barely do a thing haha. It was sweet. He helped me stand up or pick something up anytime i needed his help. he also helped with the mountain of laundry. Yesterday evening, Dusty planned and cooked a delicious dinner for us. He even added ingredients he normally wouldn't eat in it, which i thought was uber sweet haha... I really appreciate the sweetness, Hubby!! =)

p.s. Sorry i never have pictures anymore haha. The camera is still loaded up with pictures from Dallas and i can't make myself delete them!! ah!

Just some thoughts...

This past General Conference was the first conference that me and the hubs actually have sat down and wanted to watch! We've been rebels thus far, what can i say. But President Monson's talk.. Finding Joy in the Journey.. touched me so! By the end of his talk, i had tear filled eyes...

"This is our one and only chance at mortal life—here and now. The longer we live, the greater is our realization that it is brief. Opportunities come, and then they are gone. I believe that among the greatest lessons we are to learn in this short sojourn upon the earth are lessons that help us distinguish between what is important and what is not. I plead with you not to let those most important things pass you by as you plan for that illusive and non-existent future when you will have time to do all that you want to do. Instead, find joy in the journey—now..."
I can't even begin to tell you how much i agree with this. I remember hearing the following quote and immediately feeling like he was speaking directly to me...
Send that note to the friend you’ve been neglecting; give your child a hug; give your parents a hug; say “I love you” more; always express your thanks. Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved. Friends move away, children grow up, loved ones pass on. It’s so easy to take others for granted, until that day when they’re gone from our lives and we are left with feelings of “what if” and “if only.” Said author Harriet Beecher Stowe, “The bitterest tears shed over graves are for words left unsaid and deeds left undone.”
Even now reading it on here makes me tear up! I just really honestly always think these things. I always try to realize that there may be no tomorrow, but after this talk.. I really want to try harder. I know there are people in my life i don't visit as often.. or show my love for as often as i should. I'm so grateful I was able to hear this talk and that it had such an impact on me! I will definitely try to Find Joy in the Journey.. i KNOW that that is so very important.

Sad Day!

So today one of my very close friends/co-workers got laid off because Adams is very slow right now.. She is the one who got me my job in the first place. She is the one who trained me, and has helped me SO much since i've been here. I really don't know what i'll do without her here! It is so weird and strange! I'm going to miss her TERRIBLY. The office isn't going to be the same for a while... :(
